The Community Development division is responsible for:
Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP)
Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
Fair Housing & Landlord-Tenant Rights & Responsibilities Under Ohio Law
Rapid Outreach Revolving Loan Fund
Small Business Grant Program
These programs revolve around one simple premise; provide tools and resources to the City's households and businesses which facilitate reinvestment within the community.
From assisting homeowners to make small repairs to their homes to providing new start-up businesses the necessary capital to kick start their dreams. These programs revolve around the citizens to help grow our local economy, improve the condition of our neighborhoods, and to strengthen our community.
Special events have a positive impact on the community. These events bring friends and neighbors together to celebrate and commemorate events that hold a special meaning for those involved. To that end, the City of Piqua is committed to helping groups and organizations host special events in the community. The city has developed an online application process that helps the City and those wanting to put on special events to collaboratively identify issues and resources to ensure a successful special event.
