   Tree Committee
Friday, November 2, 2007
9:00 A.M.
Municipal Government Complex -
City Council Chambers

MEMBERS PRESENT: Jack Hepler and Frank Patrizio

MEMBERS ABSENT: Don Ruffner, Rosemary Howell and Wayne Pope

STAFF PRESENT: Bob Graeser

Due to lack of a quorum, no official business was conducted.

There was some general discussion among those in attendance about the last tree planting that was done.

Improvements that could be made to make the planting run more efficient.

Possibly plant more trees with the mode of operations that were previously used.

There was discussion also regarding the hazardous trees throughout the city.

Bob Graeser did distribute a Hazard Tree Inventory to all members present for their review. Over the winter an extensive inventory will be conducted citywide.

Questions were asked about if the City had budgeted for this tree removal in 2008. Bob Graeser said he would look into this, and have the information at the next meeting.

The committee discussed the new Chairperson to be elected to the committee as well.

The normal 9:00 am meeting time might be changed to accommodate the new chairperson's schedule. There will be more discussion in regards to this when all members are present.

Jack Hepler suggested that we have a follow-up on the trees that we have planted in the year. The committee will form a follow-up team to inspect the trees, evaluate their condition, and report to the committee.

Jack Hepler made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Frank Patrizio seconded the motion.
