Sanitation
 
The City of Piqua operates its own sanitation department and provides weekly residential refuse collection.  With a few exceptions, refuse collection is unlimited and includes grass, yard waste, brush, tires, furniture and appliances.

A monthly fee is charged for this service. 

The City of Piqua contracts with a private company to provide weekly curbside commingled recycling.
 
 The Piqua Sanitation Department is a division of  the City of Piqua Health and Sanitation.  It is under the leadership of Director of Heath and Sanitation, Amy Welker.
