The downtown area will be busy with
Halloween related events on Tuesday, October 30, 2012!
The Mainstreet Piqua organization
and the downtown Piqua merchants invite all the participants in
the annual Kiwanis Halloween parade to come and trick or treat
on Main Street prior to the annual Kiwanis Parade on Tuesday,
October 30, 2012.
From 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. all those merchants with "Halloween
stakes" directly in front of their business invite all the
costumed Halloween Parade participants to come in for a
Halloween treat. The preliminary list of businesses
participating include; in the 300 block Rocket Cleaners,
Uniforms Plus, Susie's Big Dipper, and Barclays Men's -Women's
Clothiers and the Piqua School of the Arts (enter off Ash
Street). In the 400 block of N. Main Street businesses that will
be handing out candy include Readmore's Hallmark, Dobo's
Delights, Glamour on Mane, Michalo's Pizza and Wings and the law
office of Stephanie Gunter. From the 200 block of N. Main Street
Lighthouse Café will also be participating along with The
Gathering Place on Greene Street and Liberty Tax Service and
Somewhere in Time in the 500 Block of N. Main Street. The Piqua
Public Library will also be handing out trick or treat candy at
the circulation desks on all three levels.
In addition to the participating downtown
businesses, various departments at the City of Piqua will be
handing out trick or treat candy to the little visitors at the
Municipal Government Complex from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on October
30, 2012.

After getting their fill of candy, the costumed parade
participants can then make it over to the judging area prior to
the Kiwanis Halloween Parade. The Kiwanis Halloween Parade
will start at the intersection of Main and Market Streets at 7
p.m. and make its way to the YMCA where the prizes will be
awarded.
Reminder: Trick or Treat/Beggars' Night will take place in the
City of Piqua on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00
p.m.. |
