On Friday August 3, 2007 at 8:58
a.m. the Knights Inn, located at 902 Scot Dr. (corner of US36
and I-75) was robbed. It was reported that 2 black males were
dropped off at an east side entrance by a third subject in a
black older model 4 door vehicle, possibly the body style of an
Impala, that had the rear window broken out and had plastic
taped over the rear window.
The 2 black males entered the
motel and went to the front office where they ordered the female
employee to give them money. The subjects did not display a
weapon however implied that they had one. After taking money
from the cash register they exited the motel, possibly through
the front door. The black males are described as being in their
early 20's, thin, with one wearing a dark hoodie and the other
wearing a gray hoodie. The hoodies were pulled up around their
faces.
This motel is located beside the
Speedway station and the suspects would have had to pass this
station both heading to and from the motel. If anyone was at the
Speedway during this timeframe and observed these suspects
please contact the Piqua Police Dept.
