Piqua is hoping that area residents and businesses will
make this a 'banner' year for downtown Piqua. The downtown
organization is hoping to give the twinkling lights and sparkle
of downtown Piqua extra shine and holiday cheer this holiday
season with a complete set of new Christmas banners. The
existing blue banners were purchased in 2003 and are showing
significant wear and tear. With your help the Mainstreet Piqua
Beautification Committee would like to purchase a new set of
professionally designed banners using more traditional red and
green holiday colors.
"We have already received
tremendous support from the Miami County Foundation and the
Lundgard Charitable Trust," stated Lorna Swisher, Executive
Director of Mainstreet Piqua, Inc.
All donations to the Christmas
banner campaign are fully tax deductible and those wishing to
contribute to the campaign can make their checks out to
"Friends of Mainstreet Piqua" and mail them to PO Box
1703, Piqua, OH 45356.
