|The City of Piqua's CR25A Street
Resurfacing Project is currently underway. The City entered into
a contract with Barrett Paving Materials, Inc., of Franklin,
Ohio, for this project.
The project consists the planing
of asphalt, adjustment of water valves and manholes, catch basin
repairs/replacements, placement of an asphalt surface course and
pavement markings, and the installation of ADA compliant
handicap ramps at all of the intersections within the paving
The MIA-CR25A Street Resurfacing
includes the following streets: Main Street from Riverside
Drive, beginning at the N. Main Street bridge, to 500 feet south
of Statler Avenue.
Construction of the ADA compliant
handicap ramps will be completed by a subcontractor, Grissom
Construction, LLC., of Covington, Ohio. The ADA ramps will be
the first phase of the project which is scheduled to commence
the week of July 7, 2014. The resurfacing portion of the project
will follow the handicap ramp installation and is anticipated to
begin the end of August.
Traffic will be maintained
throughout the duration of construction, which is anticipated to
be complete by October 2, 2014. Parking along the streets will
be prohibited at times due to the milling and paving operations.
No Parking signs will be posted 48 hours in advance to notify
motorists of such restrictions. Motorists are asked to proceed
through all construction areas with caution.
