Another printing of the Piqua
history book, An Encyclopedia of Piqua, Ohio has been
ordered and the books will be available for purchase in late May
2008. The book, written by Flesh Public Library Director James
C. Oda, already has over 700 copies in circulation and an
additional 300 copies have been ordered.
The book is written in an encyclopedia format and features all
things Piqua from airplanes to ZIP codes. It is approximately
320 pages and features numerous black and white photographs,
timelines and individual biographies.
“We already have pre-orders for over 100 of the reprinted
books.” says Mainstreet Piqua Executive Director Lorna
Swisher. “We are very excited about the ongoing interest in
the book.” Mainstreet Piqua is coordinating the reorder
project in cooperation with Jim Oda and the local history
department of the Flesh Public Library.
Those who would like to guarantee that they get a copy of the
reprinted books may pre-order them. The cost per books $42.50
plus tax. ($2.76 per book.) Pre-order forms are available at
