City Receives Grant for East Ash Reconstruction Project
     
City Manager Frederick E. Enderle announced today that the City of Piqua has received a grant totaling $1,162,000 for the City of Piqua's East Ash Street Reconstruction Project. The City received these Federal Highway Administration Funds from the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. The funds will be used to reconstruct East Ash Street from the Great Miami River to the downtown area and construction is expected to begin in 2011.

The City has already received $562,500 from ODOT's Highway Safety Program and $160,000 form ODOT's Urban Paving Program for the project. Piqua also intends to utilize $500,000 in OPWC funding for the comprehensive gateway project.
