On Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00
AM, the Skateboard Park located at Pitsenbarger Park (1421 South
Street) will be dedicated and open to the public.
On June 7, 2012, Richard Donnelly
and the City of Piqua entered into an agreement for the
construction of the Skateboard Park. All material and labor for
the construction of the Skateboard Park was donated by Richard
Donnelly, former city employee and lifetime resident of the City
of Piqua.
"The City of Piqua is very
fortunate to have numerous citizens that give back to the
community. The donation of the entire cost to construct the
skate park by Rich Donnelly is a perfect example of this
tremendous generosity. All of us, and especially the youth of
the community, should be very grateful for what Mr. Donnelly has
done to provide such a wonderful recreation facility,"
stated City Manager, Gary Huff.
The City of Piqua wishes to thank
Rich for his generosity and contribution to the youth in the
City of Piqua.
The City of Piqua welcomes all to
attend this dedication and celebration of our new Piqua
Skateboard Park. |
