Encyclopedia of Piqua History |

The Piqua history book, An
Encyclopedia of Piqua History, written by Flesh Public
Library Director James C. Oda is a very popular item! The entire
first printing, about 700 books, were completely sold out in six
weeks and the process is underway for a second printing.
The book, written in an encyclopedia format featuring all things
Piqua from airplanes to ZIP codes, is approximately 320 pages
and features numerous black and white photographs and timelines.
“We are getting requests for additional books on a weekly
basis,” says Oda. "In cooperation with Mainstreet
Piqua we are considering a second run of the book. Because this
is a very expensive project we are currently taking pre-orders
to generate some of the revenue we need for the project, as well
as make sure that we are ordering enough books.”
The remaining money for the second printing will come from the
revenues generated from the first printing of the book.
The cost per books $42.50 plus tax. ($2.76 per book.) Pre-order
forms are available at Mainstreet Piqua, 326 N. Main Street or
at the Flesh Public Library, 124 W. Greene Street. Those wishing
to see a copy of the book may stop by Mainstreet Piqua. For
additional information call Mainstreet Piqua at 937-773-9355.
Pre-order forms for An Encyclopedia of Piqua History are also
available on the Mainstreet
Piqua website. |
