The City of Piqua will hold a public
hearing on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. to introduce
and receive public comment on the City's application for funding
from the Community Housing Improvement Program. The meeting will
be held in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Government
Complex.
Since 2001, the City of Piqua has
received over $2 million from the Ohio Department of Development
to implement the Community Housing Improvement Program. Through
the program, numerous homes have been repaired and many
households have received emergency housing assistance for
mortgage or utility payments.
"This particular activity is
what our Community Development efforts are mostly known for; we
have served quite a few residents with this program. We are
looking for public input to help guide our application,"
said William Lutz, Development Program Manager.
Residents are encouraged to
attend the public hearing. Those with comments or questions are
encouraged to contact William Lutz, Development Program Manager
at 937-778-2062 or via email. |
