Arts Council Hires Executive Director

Jordan
K. Knepper - New Executive Director of the Piqua Arts Council
|
|
|
The Piqua Arts Council is pleased to
announce the hiring of Jordan K. Knepper. Mr. Knepper will
officially begin his employment with the organization on
February 11, 2013 at which time he will succeed Vicky Fanberg as
the Executive Director of the Piqua Arts Council.
Mr. Knepper is a graduate from Muskingum University with a
bachelor of sciences degree. Mr. Knepper brings skills and
insights from past employment experiences, including his work in
the greeting card industry, graphic design field, and the
management of major sales accounts for a national sports apparel
company, that will serve him well in performing his duties as
Executive Director. His sales management experience included
working with some rather high profile clients such as the
University of Las Vegas Nevada, the Golden State Warriors NBA
franchise, and Xyience, the corporate sponsor of the UFC. More
recently Mr. Knepper was employed as the programming coordinator
at the Gateway Arts Council. In his role with the Gateway Arts
Council Mr. Knepper was responsible for programming and managing
art events both large and small, including premier attractions
such as Fiddlers on the Roof, and grass roots community
engagement art programs such as Bad Art by Good People. Growing
up the son of an artist, Mr. Knepper developed a passion for the
arts and has since dedicated his professional work to sharing
his passion with others. Having been surrounded by the arts all
of his life, Mr. Knepper has developed an extensive network of
contacts and friends in the arts community. Piqua Arts Council
President Chris Schmiesing commented, "We are very
fortunate to have found someone of Jordan's caliber to help us
fulfill the mission of the Piqua Arts Council. We are excited to
tap into Jordan's insights and knowledge as we continue our
efforts to grow the presence of the arts in the Piqua
community." Schmiesing continued, "With the hiring of
Mr. Knepper the Piqua Arts Council has secured the services of a
talented young professional who is well respected in the arts
community.
