Pool Rules and Policies |
| The Staff has the
authority and the responsibility to exercise judgment in
limiting any behaviors he/she deems unsafe or inappropriate in
order to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all. |

1. All children seven (7) years and
younger must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Non-swimmers under seven (7) years of age must be accompanied
by an adult in the water and within arms reach at all times.
3. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their
children at all times.
4. No one younger than sixteen (16) years of age shall supervise
children in the pool.
5. Be respectful to lifeguards and other staff.
6. Be respectful and courteous to others using the pool.
7. Appropriate swim attire required.
8. Pushing, shoving, roughhousing or horseplay will not be
permitted.
9. Fighting will not be tolerated.
10. Only unbreakable containers permitted.
11. Use appropriate use of language and behavior at all times.
12. No smoking, alcohol or drugs allowed in the facility or
surrounding park.
13. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be
admitted.
14. Floatation devices, including lifejackets, permitted in the
shallow end of the pool only.
15. Please do not hang or sit on ropes or lane markers.
16. Diving is only permitted in the dive well.
17. To use the diving board or slides (except little slide) you
must be able to pass a swim test, given at the discretion of the
staff.
18. Breath holding activities for recreational or competition
purposes are not permitted.

Diving Board Rules
|
|
|
1. No floatation devices, including
lifejackets, permitted on slides or diving boards.
2. Swimmer must be able to pass a swim test to use slides or
diving board.
3. Swimmers must swim directly to the ladder and exit the area.
4. Dive straight off the end of the board.
5. Only one bounce.
6. No flips, inwards, reverses, or gainers.

Turbo Slide Rules
|
|
|
1. No floatation devices, including
lifejackets, permitted on slides or diving boards.
2. Swimmers must be 48 inches or taller or have passed a swim
test to use this slide.
3. Swimmers must swim directly to the ladder and exit the area.
4. Leave only when dispatched.
5. Only one person at a time.
6. Stay seated or lying on back only.
7. No stopping on slide.

Straight Slide Rules
|
|
|
1. No floatation devices, including
lifejackets, permitted on slides or diving boards.
2. Swimmer must be able to pass a swim test to used slides or
diving board.
3. Swimmers must swim directly to the ladder and exit the area.
4. One person at a time.
5. Stay seated or lying on back only.

| Failure to comply with any of the rules may
result in the suspension of privileges without refund of
fees. If the infraction is serious enough, rights
may be terminated for the remainder of the year. |

| Closure Policy |
| |
Hours of operation are weather
dependant. The City reserves the right to close the pool if
the outdoor temperature is less than 70 degrees or if
inclement weather makes operation unsafe.
If at any time the attendance
at the pool falls below 25 people, the City reserves the right
to close.
In the event of a closure due
to weather or low attendance, rain checks will be issued to
those patrons that have been at the pool less than two (2)
hours. Those patrons that have been at the pool for more than
two (2) hours will not receive a refund.

| There will be a rest period at the
manager's request. |

| Lockers are available for your
convenience. Those wishing to use lockers must provide their own
locks. All locks are to be removed from lockers before the end
of the day. Locks remaining at the end of the day will be
removed by the City of Piqua. The City of Piqua will not be
responsible for loss or damage of personal property. |

| Pool Admission and Membership Policy |
| |
| Pool Memberships are
non-transferable. A PASS MAY ONLY BE USED BY THE PERSON TO
WHOM IT WAS ISSUED. Violation of this rule may result in
revocation of the membership. Violators may swim only by paying
daily admission fee or by purchasing another membership at full
price.
Admission to the pool may be
refused to anyone with colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections,
athletes foot, recent vaccination or anyone wearing bandages.
Use of the Kiddie Pool is limited
to preschool age children. These children MUST be accompanied
and supervised by a parent or responsible adult age 18 years of
age or older.
Patrons may leave the pool and
re-enter at a later time the same day, only after receiving a
stamp before leaving the pool. |

Night |
| |
| Tuesday evening, the pool is open
from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm for teens in junior high and high school
only, No one above the age of 18 or out of high school
will be admitted.

| Family
Night |
| |
| Sunday evenings, the pool is open from 6:00
pm to 9:00 pm. Parents or legal guardians must accompany
children under 18 years old. |
