| The "Are You OK?" Program is a
program to check on the elderly and others who may need
contacted on a regular basis due to health or mobility
concerns. The department recognizes that there is a need to
assist the elderly population and we feel this is one way we
can provide some assistance.
The police department will use
volunteers to phone people who need checked on regularly. The
calls will normally occur on weekdays around 10:00 a.m. All
that a person who needs contacted needs to do is fill out a
form, which can be accessed below,
or they may be picked up at the police department during
normal business hours. If someone needs a form filled out for
them, call the police department between 10:00 a.m. - 1:00
p.m. on Monday, Wednesday or Friday and ask for Betty. For
additional information call Lieutenant Tom Steiner,
937-778-2027.
The Piqua Police Department
encourages anyone who lives in the City of Piqua and who feel
they would benefit from this program to complete a form as
soon as possible. |
