| The hiring process is structured so that
candidates must successfully complete one phase of testing in
order to advance to the next. Candidates must first pass a
written test administered by the City Civil Service
Commission. Candidates must also obtain a letter from
their healthcare provider that states that the candidate is able
to participate in the physical abilities test. Other
selection and hiring activities include: |

| Physical abilities test (Designed around
Cooper's Aerobic Battery) is given the same day as the written
test. In order to have the written test graded, the applicant
must achieve the 40th percentile ranking in each
component of the physical testing. |
