Information |
The Piqua Police Department is divided
into three major components: The Office of the Chief of
Police; The Patrol Bureau; and the Services Bureau. Each
component has specific responsibility for functions of the
department. Some functions are assigned as they relate
directly to the primary duties of the specific bureau, and
some are assigned due to specific skills, knowledge,
abilities, and expertise of the Bureau Commanders or
members.
The organizational structure, components, and functional
responsibilities are periodically reviewed and reorganized if
necessary to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of
the overall operation of the department. Each component
is interrelated with the other components, and operations may
be coordinated through individual components or any
combination of the three components. Each component may
be further subdivided into sections, units, and/or functions
as best meets operational needs. |
