| Piqua's Drug Abuse Resistance
Education Program, known as D.A.R.E, is an educational drug
prevention program presented by uniformed police officers. The
City of Piqua offers this program to all schools in the Piqua
School District. D.A.R.E. provides interaction with students
of all grade levels through designated programs and an
approved curriculum for pre-teens that gives students the
skills necessary to resist drug experimentation. |

| The designated D.A.R.E. Officer
handles the School Resource Officer (S.R.O.) duties at the
upper grade level schools, along with providing the D.A.R.E.
program and S.R.O. presence at the Elementary schools.
The purpose of the S.R.O.
program is to provide instruction and guidance to the students
and provide assistance at many levels to the teachers and
staff. |
