Planning Association (APA) |

The American
Planning Association (APA) is a nonprofit public
interest and research organization representing 39,000
practicing planners, officials, and citizens involved with urban
and rural planning issues. Sixty-five percent of APA's members
work for state and local government agencies. These members are
involved, on a day-to-day basis, in formulating planning
policies and preparing land-use regulations. APA's objective is
to encourage planning that will meet the needs of people and
society more effectively. |

Greater
Ohio - Restoring Prosperity |

| The Restoring
Prosperity to Ohio initiative is a non-partisan,
multi-year research and policy initiative focused on developing
and advancing an agenda for revitalizing Ohio’s older
industrial cities.
It is part of the Brookings
Institution’s national Restoring Prosperity Initiative that
was launched in May 2007 with the release of their study,
Restoring Prosperity: The State Role in Revitalizing America’s
Older Industrial Cities.
The Brookings Institution and
Greater Ohio are partnered to take this national report to the
state level by performing a more detailed analysis of Ohio that
examines economic and development patterns across 32 Ohio cities
(Piqua included). |

The Ohio
Planning Conference (OPC) is a statewide, non-profit
association of citizens and professional planners committed to
promoting and enhancing planning and the quality of planning for
all governmental entities in order to maintain and improve the
quality of life for all Ohio citizens. The OPC is a state
chapter of the American Planning Association (APA). |
