Located between Market and High Streets downtown, the 1 acre Public Square area contains numerous monuments and commemoratives for city residents.  It also has an elevated gazebo that can be reserved at no charge through the Parks and Recreation Office. The Public Square is the site of many community activities such as parades and also hosts the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
