The
Public Health Nurse is part of the City of Piqua Health
Department. The Public Health Nurse provides or coordinates
the following services: |

Immunization Clinic
The
Piqua Health Department, in a collaborative effort with
Upper
Valley
Medical
Center
and the Ohio Department of Health, provides immunizations at
the Piqua Immunization Clinic. The clinic is located on
the second floor (
Suite
204
) of the Nicklin Avenue Medical Office Building, 821 Nicklin Avenue. Immunizations are available to anyone and are given by
appointment and walk-ins are accepted. For more information
call the clinic at (937)615-9302.
The hours of the clinic are 12:00 pm (Noon) to 5:00 p.m.
every Thursday. A minimal fee is charged for
immunization shots. No insurance other than ADC is
accepted. However, no one is ever refused for their
inability to pay. A

The Immunization Clinic makes it
easier to keep your children and yourself protected. The
Clinic's professional, caring nurses can give children the
immunization shots they need to vaccinate them from major
childhood diseases: measles, mumps, rubella (German Measles),
Diptheria, Tetanus (Lock Jaw), Chickenpox (Varicella),
Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Polio, Hepatitis A & B,
Meningococcal, Haemophilus Influenze Type B (Hib),
Pneumococcal Conjugate, Rotavirus, Infkuenza and Human
Papilloma Virus (Guardasil).
Adult immunizations are also available and include: Hepatitis
A & B, Pneumonia, Influenza, and Adult Tetanus.

Pregnancy Testing
Pregnancy testing is available at the Miami County Health District at
510 W. Water Street

. Hours are Monday
through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
No appointment is needed, and testing is done for a
minimal fee. Testing
may be used for proof of pregnancy for Healthy Start
(Medicaid).
Prenatal Clinic
The Well Child Clinic provides health care services for pregnant women.
The Piqua Health
Department utilizes the Prenatal Clinic at
510 W. Water Street

. A physician,
dietician, and social worker are available during pre-natal
visits. The Obstetric Care is provided at
Upper
Valley
Medical
Center
in
Troy

Ohio

Health Partners of
Miami
County
A
weekly clinic that provides uninsured
Miami
County
residents with non emergency medical treatment at no cost to
the patient. Services
include care of illness, follow up nursing care, social
services, patient education, nutrition classes, and
prescription assistance for clinic patients.
This is a walk-in clinic; however it is strongly
recommended an appointment be made since the number of
patients treated each week is limited.
Patients must bring photo ID.

Well Child Clinic
The
Piqua Health Department utilizes the Well Child Clinic at
510 W. Water Street

. The clinic provides health care for children from
birth to age 21. Services
include routine physicals, sport physicals, school physicals,
and work permit physicals.
Children are seen by appointment only.

Charges are based on a sliding fee scale.
Medicaid is accepted.
The Well Child Clinic is supported by both the Miami
County Health District and Piqua City Health Department.
