The
Public Health Nurse accepts referrals for the BCMH (Bureau for
Children with Medical Handicaps) program from physicians, school
nurses, and teachers on identified children ages birth to 21 with
possible medical handicaps. BCMH is a state funded program
which provides both a diagnostic phase and treatment phase for the
child. The mission of BCMH is to assure through the
development of high quality, coordinated systems, that children
with special care needs and their families obtain comprehensive
care and services which are family centered, community based and
culturally competent.
Referrals
by phone are acceptable from the community at large by the calling
the Piqua Health Department at 937-778-2058.
