| The Public Health nurse works
with referrals from doctors, school nurses, and teachers for the
Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps program. |

| The nurse does reporting,
follow up, and contacting exposures to sexually transmitted
diseases. The Piqua City Health Nurse is also involved
with health education, consultation and medical referrals. |

| The Piqua Health Department, in
a collaborative effort with Upper Valley Medical Center and the
Ohio Department of Health, provides immunizations at the Piqua
Immunization Clinic. The clinic is located on the second
floor (Suite 204) of the Nicklin Avenue Medical Office Building,
821 Nicklin Avenue. Immunizations are available to anyone
and are given by appointment. Appointments can be made by
calling the clinic at 615-9302 (local telephone number).
The hours of the clinic are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every
Thursday. A nominal fee is charged for immunization
shots. No insurance other than ADC is accepted.
However, no one is ever refused for their inability to pay. |
