Incentives:
The City of Piqua offers enterprise tax
abatement up to 75% of taxes on personal property (equipment,
furniture and inventory) and on real property (the taxes on
buildings and permanent improvements) for a period of ten years
to those companies that meet certain criteria.
Piqua offers community reinvestment tax
abatement at 100% of taxes on real property (the taxes on
buildings and permanent improvements) for a period of 15 years.

State of Ohio
Incentives:
The City of Piqua, Economic Development
Office works closely with the Ohio Department of Development to
identify for relocating or expanding manufacturers Economic
Development Incentives offered by the State of Ohio. The
Economic Development Office will arrange to have a
representative from the Ohio Department of Development meet with
prospects to review the type of incentive package that will best
meet their needs.

Industrial Firms Benefit By Lower Electric Rates:
All of the City of Piqua's industrial
sites are presently served by The Piqua Municipal Power System.
Traditionally, because it is owned by the city, the cost of
electricity to the business community is lower than that being
provided by competitive utility companies. The city also enjoys
a fire insurance rating of 4.
