The Health and Sanitation
Department is responsible for the protection for the public's
health through environmental control, public health nursing and
the collection of garbage and refuse. The Department is also
responsible for maintaining birth and death certificates,
issuing burial permits and compiling statistics of communicable
disease within the City.
