In the beginning process or Future
Piqua II, the steering committee members formulated a value
statement for the city. The value statement specifies
those characteristics of the City that are most valued. |

- Community Services such
as the YMCA, YWCA, educational opportunities, parks, youth
programs, and cooperation between the City and the
community.
- Infrastructure resources
such as transportation assets and utilities.
- The economy, meaning
out businesses and the financial stability of our city.
- Community character such
as young leaders, a family environment, volunteer spirit,
our open political environment, diversity, the passion and
work ethic of our citizens, our low stress
environment, our
openness (tolerance), and our philanthropy.
- Physical Character,
specifically our historical assets, our size, educational
facilities, housing, and proximity to other communities.
