The City of Piqua Fire Department is fully trained and meets all State and Federal criteria to mitigate hazardous material incidents.  Training in both the fire and EMS areas has been completed through out-reach programs from the National Fire Academy, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Ohio Fire Academy.  All members are trained to the Technician level.  All officers and members have also completed incident command training as required to handle these incidents.
