A new program starting in 2012, the
Piqua Government Academy, will give residents an inside look at
operations of the city government.
"The Piqua Government Academy is going to be a rich
experience for participants. For eleven weeks, our participants
are going to get an inside look at how our city operates and
even have a chance to be a city commissioner for a mock
commission meeting," stated William Lutz, Development
Program Manager, who is managing the academy. "Participants
will see our facilities and understand the work we do on a daily
basis," added Lutz.
The first session of the academy will kick off on April 4, 2012
and will continue each Wednesday night for eleven weeks
culminating with a Mock City Commission meeting on June 13,
2012.
Participants can register on-line for the program by clicking
