Plan
It
Piqua, is
the first comprehensive planning initiative to take place
in our community in over 35 years.
In August of 2006, the City Commission authorized a
contract with American Communities Partnership (ACP) to assist
with the update of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Piqua’s comprehensive plan - the adopted statement of local
government that guides the future growth and development of the
community - has not been updated since 1971.

On
January 22, 2008, the Piqua, Ohio City Commission unanimously
adopted the Plan It Piqua 2007 Comprehensive Plan
Update. The
plan was presented to the City Commission by City Planner Chris
Schmiesing and Plan It Piqua Chairperson Brad Bubp. The
comprehensive plan and the appendix can be viewed in their
