Legal Notice
  
Sealed bids for yearly materials and supplies for the City of Piqua Water Departments for calendar year 2008 will be received in the office of the City Purchasing Agent in City Hall at 201 West Water Street, Piqua, Ohio 45356, until 2:00 O'clock, P.M., on Friday, December 21, 2007 at which hour the bids will be publicly opened and read for the following materials and supplies:

Chemicals For Water Treatment (Water System)
Item and Estimated Quantities:

1. Liquid Caustic Soda, 50% NaOH, 4000-gallon maximum truckload lots, meet AWWA Standard B 501-98 or latest revision - 75 tons/dry

2. Sodium Hexametaphosphate, granular, in 100 lb. bags, delivered in 100 bag lots, meet AWWA Standard B 502-01 or latest revision - 200 cwt.

3. Activated Carbon, powdered, maximum 55 lb. bags, delivered in 200 bag lots, meet AWWA Standard B 603-98 or latest revision - 220 cwt.

4. Potassium Permanganate, free flowing grade, maximum 330 lbs. Drum, delivered in 10 drum lots, meet AWWA Standard B 603-98 or latest revision - 66 cwt.

5. Ferric Sulface, dry form, in 50 lb. bags, delivered in 200 bag lots, meet AWWA Standard B 406-97 or latest revision - 700 tons

6. Soda Ash, dense grade, 50 lb. bags, delivered in 200 bag lots, meet AWWA Standard B 201-98 or latest revision - 75 tons

7. Quicklime, ½" pebble quicklime in bulk truck loads, pneumatic unloading, meet AWWA Standard B 202-02 or latest revision - 1,000 tons.

All bids shall contain the full name of every person interested in the same. In case of a partnership, the full name of each individual partner must be given. In case of a corporation, the corporate name must be signed by every one of its officers duly authorized to do so. The price and signature must be clearly and legibly written.

Alternate bids and alternates to the specifications will be given consideration by the city. Any variation to the city's specifications must be clearly marked on the bid sheet.

THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS AND TO WAIVE ANY OR ALL TECHNICALITIES.

All bids must be submitted in duplicate.
