Sealed bids will be received in the
office of the City Purchasing Agent in the City Building at 201 W.
Water Street, Piqua, Ohio, until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 6,
2007, at which hour the bids will be publicly opened and read for
the following:
2007 Pavement
Marking Program
In general, the Work consists of
pavement markings on various streets throughout the city.
The Bidding Documents, which
include detailed specifications, may be examined and obtained at
the City of Piqua Engineering Department, 201 W. Water Street,
Piqua, Ohio. The cost for the Bidding Documents is $5.00 and is
nonrefundable.
All bids shall contain the full
name of every person interested in the same. In case of a
partnership, the full name of each individual partner must be
given. In case of a corporation, the corporate name must be signed
by every one of its officers duly authorized to do so. The price
and signature must be clearly and legibly written.
Alternate bids and alternates to
the specifications will be given consideration by the City. Any
variation to the City's specifications must be clearly marked on
the bid sheet.
The owner intends and requires that
this project be completed no later than August 15, 2007.
All contractors and subcontractors
involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use
Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the
implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor
compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of
Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive
Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be
required.
BIDDER must comply with the
prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Miami County and
the City of Piqua, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of
Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
The Owner reserves the right to
reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to
accept any Bid, which is deemed by Owner to be most favorable to
the Owner.
